I was happy to stumble upon a new free parking option for those going to Angel Stadium. Throwback Sports Bar offers a free bus ride to fans back and forth to Angel Stadium. See the Angel Stadium Page for more details or visit their website. Add Comment Cincinnati Reds Ticket Deal 04/21/2010
Many fans have been searching for a way to find cheap Cincinnati Reds tickets since the 50% off coupon went away. This week, I learned about an incredible offer, and took advantage of it. The Reds and Budweiser have a deal for every Tuesday of the season where you get 2 field level tickets and a $10 gift certificate for concessions at the ballpark for only $22. Apparently, this has been somewhat publicized, but I have somehow missed that. I can't find a way to get to this page from navigating the Reds website, but it is legit. http://cincinnati.reds.mlb.com/cin/ticketing/group_theme_dates.jsp?loc=budweiser section 139 aren't the best seats, but you are paying the same price you would to sit in the bleachers. Besides, most of the time you can move over a little closer to the action. This is a $78 value, for what comes out to $24.50 after tax. There you have it, the deal is on. Can you take food into Target Field? 04/14/2010
You can bring food and drink into Target Field. According to one of my readers, who is a season ticket holder, he said the following: "Sealed water is ok as is bringing food into the stadium. The rules on food are: They must be consumed in the general seating areas (not brought into restaurants, club lounges, suites, etc). Food containers must be soft sided and fit under your chair. Any food that could be dangerous if thrown (i.e., apples) should be sliced." So yes, you can take food with you and save money that way. You can also take in sealed bottles of water, or an empty bottle and fill it up for free at the water fountains inside. Target Field Guide Complete 04/08/2010
I received some motivation from the recent mention of ballparksavvy.com in the Star Tribune in St. Paul, MN. I used that motivation to research and complete the new Target Field Guide within 48 hours. As usual, you will find a summary on the best and cheapest ideas on parking at Target Field, ticket options for the Twins' games, and of course your food choices. I look forward to feedback from fans who have actually attended a game at the new stadium. |
