The Reds have just announced what I feel is a very innovative ticket promotion. If you buy a selected 2011 full season ticket plan, they will throw in tickets to the last 25 home games for free. 25 - that is a lot of games. Here is how it breaks down. You have to buy tickets in the view level, mezzanine on the 3rd base side, or the field box. Here are the prices per ticket: Field Box $2,490.75 Mezzanine $1,611.90 View Level $1,105.65 Click read more to view the math behind this deal Standing Room Only at Target Field - Review 06/29/2010
I was fortunate enough to take my first trip to Target Field tonight. Unfortunately it was last minute, and I was forced to buy standing room only tickets. These cost $25 after service fees online, and I picked them up at Will Call. First of all, Target Field is incredible. Secondly, the summer weather in Minnesota is amazing. It is sunny and somewhat cool in the evening with no humidity; a great night for baseball. Visiting Target Field Tonight 06/29/2010
I am in Minneapolis for a work conference and I just bought standing room only tickets to Target Field. I am really excited to check out the Twins new ballpark and see what should be a great game. The Tigers are .5 game ahead of the Twinkies right now. My plan is to break the budget and eat at the stadium, because their food options look incredible. I'll try to update my guide with some tips on the best standing room only places at Target Field. This is a nice preview to my Father/Son trip coming up this week. Dodger Shuttle is Back for 2010 05/21/2010
After a disappearing act in 2009, the Dodgers have brought back the free shuttle from Union Station to Dodger Stadium. You only need to show your game ticket to jump on board. Here is more information on the details from the Dodgers website: Check out the full Dodger Stadium Guide here New Free Parking at Busch Stadium 05/12/2010
Looking to save on parking when going to the Cardinals game? I may have found a winner. Big Daddy's sports bar offers free parking and a free shuttle to and from Busch Stadium. I can't speak to their food personally, but I can assure you their prices are better than what you would pay in the ballpark. Therefore, you can kill 2 birds with one stone by getting food and drink at a real world price, and parking for free. The shuttle has an added benefit of cutting down on the amount of walking you may have to do, depending on how close you found parking to Busch Stadium. I have just completed a more generic guide to planning a baseball road trip. You can find it here. This is the exact process I go through planning my own trips, and it focuses on ways you can save money. Enjoy! I was happy to stumble upon a new free parking option for those going to Angel Stadium. Many fans have been searching for a way to find cheap Cincinnati Reds tickets since the 50% off coupon went away. This week, I learned about an incredible offer, and took advantage of it. The Reds and Budweiser have a deal for every Tuesday of the season where you get 2 field level tickets and a $10 gift certificate for concessions at the ballpark for only $22. Apparently, this has been somewhat publicized, but I have somehow missed that. I can't find a way to get to this page from navigating the Reds website, but it is legit. http://cincinnati.reds.mlb.com/cin/ticketing/group_theme_dates.jsp?loc=budweiser section 139 aren't the best seats, but you are paying the same price you would to sit in the bleachers. Besides, most of the time you can move over a little closer to the action. This is a $78 value, for what comes out to $24.50 after tax. There you have it, the deal is on. Can you take food into Target Field? 04/14/2010
You can bring food and drink into Target Field. According to one of my readers, who is a season ticket holder, he said the following: "Sealed water is ok as is bringing food into the stadium. The rules on food are: They must be consumed in the general seating areas (not brought into restaurants, club lounges, suites, etc). Food containers must be soft sided and fit under your chair. Any food that could be dangerous if thrown (i.e., apples) should be sliced." So yes, you can take food with you and save money that way. You can also take in sealed bottles of water, or an empty bottle and fill it up for free at the water fountains inside. |
