Here are outside alternatives to buying food at Yankee Stadium. The Court Deli Restaurant is located only a few blocks from the Stadium at 96 East 161th Street. They have a dining room or you can take the food out like I do since I don't have time to usually wait.

They have excellent food at a reasonable price. They serve a wide variety of food including hot dogs you can take out fast too. The sandwiches are huge for the price you pay. Here is my corned beef sandwich that cost $7.80

You can ask for Chris and tell them Royalty Tours USA sent them. It's family owned.

Other choices include the following:

Fish Market is somewhere I go as well. Seating is limited there but I always eat there. They offer a variety of fried fish meals. The prices are reasonable and much cheaper than the stadium. In addition, the portions fill you up.

There's always Burger King or McDonald's if that's your preference. There are a few pizza shops nearby as well.

Bodagas are places that offer snacks, sandwiches and drinks that you can bring into the stadium. Furthermore, there's a fruit stand that sells fruit and drinks among other things.

The guy who owns it is always outside on game day hawking 24 ounce bottles of water for just one dollar.

His pitch is “why do you pay five dollars inside when you can pay one dollar here?”

I always buy water from him.

How can you pass up that deal especially on a hot summer day or night? When the vendors come around inside it's amazing how many fools pay $5 for one bottle. As for me, I would have walked in with 5 of them for that price. Now that's being baseball savvy. All these places are within a short walk from the subway and the stadium.

Until the next time.

Wow, great stuff Gary...I went to Yankee Stadium in May, but I went into the place so early that I didn't check out this stuff outside.

Thanks a bunch for the tip. New Yankee Stadium is awesome, isn't it? Expensive but really majestic.

Kurt,

Thank you. I'm always here to help felow road trippers. Hope you get to come back to take advantage of my tip.

As for the stadium, absolutely! Too pricey but it's an amazing place to visit.

I have $25 season tickets in section 420B row 7 right behind home plate so I'm in heaven when I go there.
