The stadium has since seen many memorable moments, including a stadium record crowd of 8,242 for a game against Florida and the highest attendance for a three-game weekend series (24,726) set in 2011.
Charles L. Watson Stadium
Charles L. Watson Stadium was a former baseball stadium located on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.
It was replaced by Springs Brooks Stadium and Vrooman Field is now the home field of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers baseball team.
The stadium had a capacity of nearly 2,200 people, which was expanded during the 2008 season with the addition of a right field deck called “The Rooster’s Nest”.
This expansion allowed the stadium to host its first NCAA Regional in 2008, with the addition of temporary seating down the baselines.
