One of my fondest memories growing up was playing baseball with my friends. Each one of us would step up to the plate and try to imitate our favorite player’s batting stance – I was going with a lot of Ken Griffey Jr. myself. For anyone who’s ever played baseball, finding your stance is one of the most important things you have to do. Sure, you want to try and incorporate what you see the pros do – I mean, if it’s working for them then why not you – but those guys are special. Batting stances are unique. They’re like snowflakes. There’s no two that are alike.

Which brings us to today’s video – MLB Network’s 30 all-time batting stances. We want to know what you guys think. Do you agree with Teddy Ball Game being #29? What about Ichiro being #25? Maybe you’d move Derek Jeter out of the #20 spot. Or put Oscar Gamble and his ridiculously low stance higher than #16. How about the top 10? Who stays and who goes?
My two cents – Jr. in the top spot is the right call. It’s the best stance and swing ever.
