The state of Georgia has a rich baseball culture, and it’s also home to many historic and modern ballparks.

Coolray Field
Coolray Field, located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, is a state-of-the-art minor league baseball stadium, previously known as Gwinnett Stadium until 2019.
It is the home field of the Gwinnett Stripers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The stadium features a spacious concourse, multiple luxury suites, and a large video board that provides fans with an immersive game-day experience.

Grayson Stadium
Grayson Stadium is a historic baseball field located in Savannah, Georgia. It was built in 1926 and has been a staple of the city’s sports scene ever since!
The stadium is primarily used for baseball and is the home field of the Savannah Bananas of the Coastal Plain League.
In addition to its home team, Grayson Stadium served as the part-time host of the Savannah State University college baseball team from 2009 to 2011. It was also the home of the Savannah Cardinals from 1984 to 1995 and the Sand Gnats from 1996 to 2015.
The stadium is also known for hosting the annual Thanksgiving Day game between Savannah High School and Benedictine Military School from 1927 until 1959.

Lake Olmstead Stadium
Lake Olmstead Stadium is a beautiful baseball park located in Augusta, Georgia. It was built in the mid-90s to replace the previous venue, Heaton Stadium, on the same site.

AdventHealth Stadium (Formerly State Mutual Stadium)
AdventHealth Stadium (formerly the State Mutual Stadium) is a modern and well-equipped baseball park in Rome, Georgia. It has been the home of the Rome Braves since April 2003 and was originally named after the State Mutual Insurance Company.
However, in April 2022, the naming rights of this center were sold to the non-profit healthcare system AdventHealth, resulting in its name change.
This facility features modern amenities and a seating capacity of 5,105 people, making it a great place for large crowds to gather and enjoy a Rome Braves game!
Truist Park
Truist Park, formerly known as SunTrust Park, is a state-of-the-art baseball stadium located in the Atlanta metropolitan area in Cobb County, Georgia.
This facility opened in 2017 and serves as the home field for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball.
The construction of the stadium was a result of a public-private partnership with a budget of $622 million, with the majority of the funds being provided by the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall.
The Braves contributed the remaining funds for the park and The Battery Atlanta, which is a mixed-use development adjacent to the stadium.
The stadium was built with a total cost of over $1.1 billion, with the Braves committing to spend $181 million over 30 years to help pay off the county’s bonds on the project.
The stadium features a seating capacity of 41,149 and offers a unique blend of modern amenities and classic design elements.
As well, the park is surrounded by The Battery Atlanta, which includes a variety of dining, shopping, and entertainment options for fans to enjoy before and after games!
Foley Field
Foley Field is a baseball stadium located in Athens, Georgia, and serves as the home field for the University of Georgia Bulldogs college baseball team. This stadium has a seating capacity of 3,291 people and is known for its great atmosphere and beautiful views of the surrounding area.
The stadium was first built in 1966 and has undergone several renovations over the years, including a significant renovation in 1990.
Today, Foley Field is a popular destination for college baseball fans, offering a fantastic experience for both players and spectators alike. Whether you’re a die-hard Bulldogs fan or just a lover of the game, a visit to Foley Field is a must!
Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium
Russ Chandler Stadium in Atlanta has a rich history and is a staple of Georgia Tech baseball.
The original stadium was built in 1930 using the proceeds from the football team’s participation in the 1929 Rose Bowl. It was known as Rose Bowl Field and stood behind a stone wall on 5th and Fowler Streets.
However, in 1985, the stadium was updated with a new grandstand thanks to A. Russell Chandler, III. It became known as “The Rusty C” due to its extensive use of aluminum as a construction material.
In 2002, the stadium underwent a complete rebuild and was renamed Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium.

OrthoGeorgia Park at Claude Smith Field
OrthoGeorgia Park is located in Macon on the Mercer University campus. It was last renovated in 2014 which brought new seating and concession areas, a press box, dugouts, and a new entrance, in addition to the previous 1,500-person seating.
This field is located near Mercer University’s other athletic compounds and acts as a venue for collegiate baseball games.
If you’re coming into town to cheer on your alma mater, there is a Hilton Garden Inn located on the University property where you can book your stay. The hotel is adjacent to Claude Smith Field, making it the ideal accommodation for this trip!
Luther Williams Field
Another baseball park in Macon, Georgia, Luther Williams Field is located at the center of Central City Park and is home to the Macon Bacon collegiate baseball league.
It was constructed in 1929 and still boasts the original grandstand, though some renovations have been made to the roof.
In addition to the collegiate baseball team it houses, Luther Williams Field has also hosted some famous baseball players. Such players include Pete Rose, Tony Perez, and Vince Coleman.
