Having been born with just one hand, Abbott would use the nub of his arm to basically balance his glove while he switched between pitching a ball and smoothly putting that same hand inside the glove.

For many baseball players, it's a long journey to get to the MLB. For Abbott, his ability combined with his uniqueness helped him skyrocket to the show. He is one of a handful of players in the history of baseball who made it onto an MLB team without playing a single game in the minor leagues.

This video was a really intriguing story about one of the most interesting players that baseball has ever seen.
