Ken Griffey Jr. was the coolest baseball ever. And his Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball is the best baseball video game in history. Full Stop.

But I digress. The Hall of Famer hit 630 home runs – and for my money would be the all-time home run champ if he hadn’t lost so many games due to injury. But he wasn’t just a power hitter. He was an all-around player and one of the best centerfielders of his era. He would routinely make catches that no human being should be able to make – and he’d make them look easy.

Whether it was crashing into walls, jumping over walls, diving head first, or sliding, it didn’t matter. If you hit the ball anywhere near Ken Griffey Jr. the odds were that he was going to catch it.

Don’t take my word for it. Enjoy video proof of The Kid being awesome.
